I’ve been writing for the screen and the page for over 25 years. I write short and long form drama, documentary and educational videos. I also write blogs, articles, and on-line content as a gun for hire.

  • I co-wrote a horror project at Fox Studios, adapting an Edgar Allan Poe short story The Black Cat, with Brad McGann
  • I co-wrote the horror feature Unlocked, and the teen drama Lions Teeth with Jo Kennedy
  • Violet Town is a local crime thriller seeking finance
  • Ruby Red is a teen horror/fantasy that I’ve now adapted into a YA novel

I’ve written 16 x 25 min programs for Deluxe, factual entertainment for cable TV, World Wide Entertainment. I’ve also written 16 educational videos for various clients including Video Education Australasia, The Tenants Union and The Human Rights Commission (NZ). 


I am developing a TV crime drama series with Anthony Palmer, and an adult comedy about old people who refuse to grow up called The Unpensionables with Gillian Bartlett.

I also wrote an episode of Grand Designs Australia (series 5) Pipers Creek Strawbail House.



I write web content for  Briarbird web strategy and communications. Recent work includes The Department of Health and Human Services,  PPSRSwitch On,  Living Greener and written and video content for Spinal Hub.

A short story,  the year of blood, was published in the independent compilation The Death Mook, Vignette Press, 2009.

I have collaborated with artist and illustrator Claire MurphyOur short graphic story was published in Tango 9: Love and War, a comic anthology.

I completed my Master of Creative Arts thesis on violent women, focusing on Aileen Wuornos, the American mass murderer and presented a paper The Really Strange and the Strangely Real: Aileen Wuornos on Film at the Interdisciplinary Conference Evil, Women and the Feminine in Prague.

My paper Sympathy for the Devil was published in Women As Angel, Women As Devil: Interrogating the Boundaries, Andrea Ruthven and Gabriela Madlo (eds), Inter-Disciplinary Press, Oxford, 2012.

I was co-editor, along with Dr. Lisa French and Dr. Jenny Weight of Mediations: Working Papers on Media and Practice, RMIT Media, Melbourne. Included in this is my biofictional piece about Wuornos and myself, titled Metal on the forefinger.

The collaborative film project at RMIT ‘Motel’ resulted in the paper ‘From Intimacy to Infinity; exploring the role of interior in 3 short films’, published in the IDEA Journal ‘Interior Territories’, 2009.
